Yeah, they're not really tough to find. Torrenting them is an easy option and the Touhou wiki has links to translation patches for most of the games. I'm unsure about the first five (they need to be emulated because they were for PC-98) so they might be more difficult to get a hold of. All of the ones made for Windows (since "Embodiment of Scarlet Devil," or Touhou 6 if you'd rather) are easy to get translated versions of. Even if they're not translated when you get them, it's really simple to apply a translation patch.
In terms of actual skill needed to play the games well, Touhou 8 (Imperishable Night) is easy to pick up and beat. It also has a character or two more than what most of the Touhou games come with straight out of the box.
I hope this helps a bit. It's exciting to help people, me thinks. :D

Thinking about it now, what's your drawing setup like? The most I ever do is doodle in notebooks. It'd be nice to know how a real artist works. lol The pictures you draw are awfully big and look hand drawn (which I really like). A few people I know of draw most of their stuff on like tablet notebooks and a few others just draw on large sheets of paper.

owh... actually my workstation is kinda mess... it's full of computer, book and even more drawing. I usually draw on A4 paper because it easier to work with. I'm still learning though. As for the tablet pen? I usually use for editing or colouring stuff yet I still amateur for that. I'm still learning from my studies.

Hmm... I start a proper drawing in high school. I into more Naruto style then Megaman Zero series in GBA. Itry any source in internet. After that, Mirai nikki is my fav work. I guess I start to imitate the artwork a lot more until I want to create my own manga character. Though I do want to make manga itself. Then again, I had no idea how long I have been drawing.
